Why you should choose a bicarb free deodorant today

What's the deal with bicarb and why do you keep telling us you don't use it in your deos?

Bicarbonate of soda is very alkaline (a 9 on the pH scale). So when you apply a deodorant with baking soda, it raises the pH of the skin. When your skin's pH rises above its normal levels, it can cause irritation such as dryness, redness, itching, and painful rashes.

Here is an example of reaction to natural deodorant that contained bicarbonate of soda.

I experienced this myself and it was very uncomfortable. This is what spurred me on to create a natural and bicarb free cream deodorant

Bicarbonate of soda is a wonderful product and it really has it uses, like deodorising shoes , creates a wonderful cleaning paste and a great base for a bath bomb.

But its really not the best product to use neat on your skin.

At The Natural Spa, we specialise in making a bicarb free deodorant that really works. Its gentle, effective and super easy to use.

Ready to make the switch, we have sample sizes available so you can try out before committing the big tin.
